close distance shot stopping

Filmed at the International Goalkeeper Coaches Conference, our GkNexus coach Phil Wheddon, has created an excellent session on dealing with shots from close distance, in and around 10-16 yards. With the high majority of goals scored within this distance, Phil put’s his goalkeepers into various situations within which they need to use a variety of saving techniques, to keep the ball out of the net.

Phil goes into great detail with how you can adapt and progress this session for use with a large group of goalkeepers or with younger goalkeepers.
