andy quy

Former first team goalkeeper coach at Stoke City & Brentford FC, Andy has worked at the top level of English football for nearly 20 years, as well as being a highly respected coach educator for the England FA.

Having enjoyed a long and successful spell at Stoke City before moving to Championship side Brentford, Andy has also worked with some of the best goalkeepers to have played in the Premier League, including Jack Butland, Thomas Sorensen and Asmir Begovic.

PLAYING INTO, BEFORE RE-POSITIONING FOR LONG DISTANCE SHOT STOPPING

An excellent session, focused on recovery movements after long distributions. Andy Quy delivers a fantastic session on improving the goalkeepers movement patterns, whilst also focusing on non-pressure distribution and shot stopping techniques.

With continuous communication throughout the session, with Andy ‘painting pictures’ and relating the goalkeepers actions to the game, the goalkeepers responded well and were successful within their decision making.
