Each month, our group of mentees and mentors have a virtual meeting on the Zoom platform. Within these meetings our mentees will network with each other, deliver their completed assignments, to be presented with individual feedback from Eric Steele, before being offered ‘model’ answers on all assignments.
Our mentors will then task our mentees with new assignments, outlining the aims and criteria for those assignments. Each call is also finished off with an opportunity for our mentees to enjoy an ‘open forum’ discussion, to help with any coaching queries they may have.
Post-call, you will also have the opportunity to rewatch the previous episode for 30 days, presenting an additional opportunity for you to digest the material and rewatch any conversations that you found useful and beneficial throughout the call.

GRADUATION
SUNDAY AUGUST 1ST
It’s graduation time for our mentees, as we bring the curtain down on an exceptional 5x months of the mentor program.
We enjoyed live presentations of the 3x goalkeeper development programs with ‘live’ feedback from Eric, as well as discussion around how our mentees have benefitted from the program. We also showcased the next steps for our mentees, which is our consultant program in the exclusive ‘GkNexus Coaches Club’.

month 5
THURSDAY JULY 8TH
On our penultimate ‘Mentee monthly Zoom call’ of the mentor program, we put Eric to the test in various role play activities, with mentee participation.
We focus on different scenarios that a goalkeeper coach can be faced with and with Eric playing the role of the ‘goalkeeper coach’, we learn how Eric reacts and conducts himself during these scenarios, to educate our mentees as they move forward with their coaching careers.
month 4
TUESDAY JUNE 1ST
On our fourth session together on our ‘Mentee monthly Zoom call’, we will discuss what to look for when analysing our Goalkeepers performance, along with the defensive unit.
Four mentees will be selected to deliver their assignment presentation, before the group interacts and discusses how they believe the 4 ‘topic’ goalkeepers performed throughout the month of May.
Eric will then deliver his presentation on what he looks for when analysing his teams performance, as well as how he designs training sessions to work on his findings.
month 3
TUESDAY MAY 4TH
On our third ‘Mentee monthly Zoom call’ of the mentor program, once again we will invite all 4x groups to present their first assignments ‘live’ on screen, within which you developed your own set-plays program that can be implemented within your own clubs.
Each group will have the opportunity to enjoy ‘live’ feedback from Eric on their assignment, before learning from Eric as he presents the how he would implement a set-plays program, which will include profiling players, implementing a training program and continually reviewing the program.
We will also distribute our third assignment of the program, which is to analyse a professional goalkeeper over 2x matches, before designing a session plan to work with the goalkeeper and the defensive unit and full team.
month 2
TUESDAY APRIL 6TH
On our second ‘Mentee monthly Zoom call’ of the mentor program, we will invite all 4x groups to present their first assignments ‘live’ on screen, ‘Design a 5 week pre-season training program for Man Utd, with the 2010 group of goalkeepers’
Each group will have the opportunity to enjoy ‘live’ feedback from Eric on their assignment, before learning from Eric as he presents the ‘real’ pre-season program that he designed in 2010.
We will also distributed our second assignment of the program, which is to prepare a teams defensive set-plays for match days, whilst detailing how to implement this structure within training environments.
month 1
wed march 3rd
On week 1 of the program, we will kick things off in style with an engaging discussion between all mentees and mentors. Each mentee will be asked to introduce themselves to the group and offer insight into what they are hoping to achieve from the program.
Please see the attached video, within which we ask you to create a personal document in order to introduce yourself to the group, during the call. Each mentee will introduce themselves ‘live’ on screen, with their document.
We will also distributed our first assignment of the program, which is to design a pre-season training program for the Man Utd goalkeepers of 2010, taking into consideration their demanding travelling schedule and fixture list.
