Welcome to the micro tasks area of your GkNexus mentor program. Within this area you will be able to identify each ‘Micro tasks’ criteria, when they are due for completion and upload your completed task file.
Each month, you will be presented with a new ‘Micro task’, within this dedicated area. We will task you on completing IDP, session design, presentation skills and more.
Each ‘Micro task’, will be made available to you, the day after the completion date of the previous task. We have also implemented helpful countdown timers, to enable you to plan ahead and prepare for future tasks.

MATCH DAY SCOUTING/ANALYSIS BOOK
In your latest micro task, we want to support you in how you analyse, record and track goalkeeping performances.
We hope that this, along with your current monthly assignment, will give you confidence in how you study your own goalkeepers, future opponents and potential signings, after scouting missions.
We ask that you create a document, which you can print off in the future and use during matches, covering the key areas of a goalkeepers performance. Some questions to think about:
- What physical material/hardware do you use?
- What is important to you when watching a live performance?
- What key areas are you keen to measure and identify?
- How do you record all of your data from the performance?

Thank you for completing your second micro assignment, which was selected to help you improve your presentation skills when delivering to a group of players, coaches and parents.
Please find the accompanied video, created by your mentor Eric Steele, within which Eric goes into detail about the presentation skills he has acquired and developed throughout his coaching career.
We hope this assignment task, along with Eric’s video, will allow you to become more confident and deliver your future presentations with confidence.

SESSION DESIGN ON TOPIC
Using the SportSessionPlanner software, please create a session to support your goalkeeper to develop within their decision making actions, during through ball situations in the defensive third.
You will use the match between Tottenham vs Man City, specifically the goals conceded by Man City, as your reference point for the session design. We want you to design a session to help support the goalkeeper/defensive unit, within these situations.
For your session design, you will have 4x Goalkeepers for 45minutes with unlimited equipment, before having ownership of the outfield players for a further 30minutes, as you transition into a full team practice. Please also outline what your key areas of focus are, within each element of your session design and what actions you are looking to improve from your players, within the session.

Each mentee will have access to their own individual development plan (IDP) throughout the mentor program and this will be unique to each individual mentee and their coaching profile. The IDP will be trackable within your individual development and will allow you to work closely with Eric Steele to ensure you develop within many areas throughout your journey on the program.
Please watch the associated video, outlining what the IDP look’s like, how you will complete the document and how you and Eric will track your progress throughout your journey. Please upload your IDP document before the micro task deadline, which you can find in your program calendar. You can download the IDP document by clicking the ‘DOWNLOAD IDP DOCUMENT’ below.
