DEFENDING CORNER kicks AS A TEAM
During his time coaching in the Premier League with Manchester United and Manchester City, Eric was utilised in a dual role, as goalkeeper and defensive coach. As defensive coach, he was responsible for the defensive set up, when defending set-plays.
In this session, Eric demonstrates his preferred method for defending corners, as part of a team structure. Linked to Eric’s recent ‘Video Presentation’, you will see that every player has a role, which comes with individual and collective responsibilities. From the goalkeeper’s organisation and communication skills, to placement of defenders and attacking players for a counter attack, this really is another masterclass from our world-renowned GkNexus coach, Eric Steele.
